Project Summary
CEC is performing design services for the stabilization and restoration of Cow Creek near the Oklahoma State Botanical Gardens in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The migration patterns of Cow Creek have threatened the existing infrastructure. Cow Creek is located in a regulated FEMA Floodway. This project addresses the following issues:
Straightening of stream bends near Oklahoma Gardening Studio
Stabilization of outside banks
Lowering of floodplain bench
Creation of wetlands
Incorporation of research cells throughout the project
Funding for this project is provided via the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) through the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB).
